- Put the iPhone into recovery mode.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer and perform a restore/update with iTunes.
- Activate your phone with your original AT&T SIM card.
- Restart the iPhone.
- I have not tested this myself as I do not have a hacked iPhone.
- The 1.1.3 update also reportedly breaks hacks that previously allowed you to install third-party apps and use the iPhone with other providers.
- Apple does not officially state that the update will unbrick a hacked phone, but rather maintains that this is an unfortunate side-effect of having to rewrite the iPhone's firmware.
- Neither Apple nor the Illini Apple Center recommends breaking your EULA by hacking your iPhone in any way.
